21st January 2009: A first winter Iceland Gull was in Sligo harbour today (lower left) as was a long-staying second winter Iceland Gull (lower right).  One adult Mediterranean Gull (top images) was at Doorly Park

Ringed Common Gull

20th January 2009: This ringed Common Gull was at Doorly Park at lunchtime looking fairly miserable in the pouring rain.  It was ringed on the Kilmaronaig Islands, Lough Etive, Strathclyde, Scotland as a nestling on 22 June 2004 by J. C. A. Craik, and was first seen and the ring read at this site on the 5th February 2008 by Seamus Feeney
