The two Whooper Swans seen were probably late migrants.
Greenland  Wheatears move through County Sligo in spring and autumn to their breeding grounds in Iceland, Greenland and northeast Canada.  They are most obvious in spring when they can seperated from "our" Wheatears by the much darker and extensive ochre on their  breast. Seen on the 13.05.05.

The Pink-footed Goose were seen for a few minutes at Lake 3, before flying off  in the direction of Donegal.
