23rd March 2007 This Common Buzzard spent the last half-hour before dusk feeding on carrion on the commonage at Bunduff.

Clearly the volume  of visible migration of Whooper Swans reported in the past 48 hours suggests that their return migration to Iceland for breeding is well underway.  The clear weather conditions have enabled this series of observations.

3rd March 2007These photographs show the total eclipse of the moon from Sligo, one of the best places to view this particular eclipse.  It was viewed in near perfect weather conditions, resulting in one of the amazing views of this natural spectacle.
