Harrier seen on Upper Lough Erne, near
Inishrooske, on the eastern side of the lake (B. Robson) |
19.04.07
Rahaberna, Sligo
(1 mile north
of Sligo town) |
A small dark
heron was seen flying north-east towards Glencar in rapid and
direct flight at 9 am this morning, and about 100m above ground level,
as though migrating. (D.Cotton)
Unfortunately the brief and distant views did not permit specific
identification (a stray Night Heron from the continent seems
likely) and there have been no further reports of the bird.
Worth
keeping in mind however if you are out on wetlands in
Cavan/Leitrim/Fermanagh over the next couple of days....
